Two trends based off of the same event: Presidential Candidates (at least their PR people) are purchasing keywords in online search.
Trend one: Before the primaries people are recognizing the importance of search (both Romney and
Guilliani's people actually have paid to be sponsored links for the search 'John McCain).
Trend two: Only 5 out of 17 candidates have purchased words. Republicans are vastly leading in that field.
I don't know what to make of this. What I do know is that the web is changing the landscape of everything, from business to college to politics. Learn about it, figure out how to use it. Buying keywords is a decent approach. There are many others.
