Chris Daughtry: When 1st Impressions Fail

My musically inclined roommate left the Chris Daughtry cd (band name: Daughtry, cd title: Daughtry) on my desk this evening.   This guy is REALLY talented...and right up my musical ally (powerful lyrics with exceptional vocals and good guitar).

Before I listened to him, Steve told me 'Yeah this guy was on American Idol,' which is of course one of the defining shows of my generation.  Not for me though, I never watch it.  To me American Idol is Kelly Clarkson.  I was not prepared for this Daughtry guy.  Steve told me just to listen to it.

He was right.  Daughtry's first cd, upon first listen through, is fantastic.
